Dermal Fillers in Chicago, IL
Powerful rejuvenation without surgery or downtime.
When you don’t have time for missed work or recovery, dermal fillers have a reputation as one of the best methods for wrinkle reduction and skin rejuvenation. Using bio-compatible substances, dermal fillers offer long-lasting results with a simple series of injections. These treatments are heavily tested for safety and reliability, and because they’re non-surgical, they require little to no recovery or downtime.
While dermal fillers only take a few minutes to administer, their natural-looking results can last for months—up to two years with some fillers. Dermal fillers can do everything from restoring facial volume loss due to aging to smoothing and softening deep facial creases. We even use fillers in non-surgical lip augmentation.
Dreyfuss Plastic Surgery offers the most advanced dermal filler treatments in Chicago. We would love to discuss treatment options with you at a personalized consultation.

Meet Our Fillers
We carry a wide range of the latest dermal fillers available. Why do we offer so many options? Each filler has a slightly different formulation, offering unique treatment benefits for specific facial areas. Dr. Dreyfuss will help you select effective fillers for your problem areas.
The Juvéderm family of injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers is one of the most versatile filler lines available in Chicago. These fillers are used to correct moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, including the hard-to-treat nasolabial folds (the deep lines that connect the nose to the corners of the mouth).
One of the most versatile dermal fillers in the industry, Juvéderm uses cross-linking technology to re-contour the cheeks, soften deep creases, and restore volume to the lips. The Juvéderm family of products includes:
Aging and genetics can contribute to some of the most tell-tale signs of aging: flattened, dull lips, and prominent lines around the mouth, also known as smoker’s lines. One of the newest injectables in Juvéderm’s range of outstanding dermal fillers is Volbella XC, one of the best products for smoothing wrinkles around the mouth and plumping the lips.
Volbella’s results last for months while retaining a soft and subtle look. This treatment offers natural-looking smoothing for patients who want to avoid downtime while maintaining ageless beauty.
Restylane is a gel formulation of hyaluronic acid which corrects moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, including nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the corner of the mouth) and marionette lines (lines from the edges of your mouth to the chin).
Restylane and Restylane Silk are suitable for lip enhancement for patients 21 or older, formulated to provide definition and fullness to the upper or lower lip.
Restylane offers a quick treatment with results lasting from six to nine months.
Radiesse is a non-allergenic, non-toxic, biocompatible filler that reduces the appearance of folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. This versatile filler is also useful for treating some types of scars, including acne scars.
Radiesse is famous for its long-lasting results with benefits lasting for two years or more. Radiesse provides volume restoration and wrinkle reduction while stimulating collagen production for skin support and structure.
Chicago Dermal Fillers- What Happens During Treatment?
We perform dermal filler injections at our state-of-the-art plastic surgery and medical spa facility. Treatments generally take under an hour — some patients can even be on their way in as little as 15 minutes. Often, patients can return to their normal activities right after their treatment session.
No anesthesia is needed and many fillers contain lidocaine for enhanced comfort during treatment. If desired, a topical anesthetic can be used.
The procedure involves injecting the selected filler into target areas. We use a series of small injections to ensure a smooth, natural-looking result. The treatment process can be broken down into three steps:
- Your injector may choose one or more points for each treatment area. Antiseptic will be applied.
- Your injector will calculate the correct amount of product for the procedure.
- An ultra-fine needle is used to deliver the filler under the surface of the skin. There is little discomfort associated with these injections.
After treatment, you can leave almost immediately and return to your daily activities as soon as you’re ready.
How to Choose a Dermal Filler
When researching which dermal filler is right for you, it’s important to remember that not all products will work for everyone, and you may need a combination of injections to meet your needs.
It’s also just as important to carefully choose your provider; selecting an experienced specialist to perform your treatment is the key to getting a comfortable treatment with optimal results. Always work with an experienced and trained injector.
At Dreyfuss Plastic Surgery, our certified and professional injectors work under the direction of a board-certified plastic surgeon.

Each dermal filler in Chicago has unique properties that enable them to excel in certain facial zones. For example, some dermal fillers are more suited to smooth over lines while others work best for deep creases. To ensure proper application, talk with a qualified practitioner who has extensive experience with all the popular products.
All dermal filler treatment may result in temporary redness and bruising around the injection site. It may also initially produce temporary swelling. These are the most common risks when working with a skilled and experienced injector. Make sure you use medical professionals for your injections, never beauty salons, home parties, or inexperienced injectors.
Typically most dermal fillers provide benefits for six to nine months. The duration depends on the injection site and the individual patient. Some fillers last much longer, up to two years.
